The Mayville State Women's Basketball Team has released their upcoming 2017-18 schedule.  The Comets will open up the season at home the weekend of October 21-22, as they will take on Providence University out of Manitoba, Canada.

"This is one of the toughest schedules we have put together for our program," explains Coach Hutter.  "We really wanted to challenge our team, and find out if we can compete with the top teams in the country."

The Comets will get that chance to see if they can play with the top teams in the country.  They will play nine games this season against teams that finished the 2016-17 season ranked in the Top 25, and all of those teams qualified for the NAIA Women's Basketball National Tournament.  

Besides the usual grueling NSAA schedule, the Comets will play some very good opponents in non-conference matchups like Concordia - Nebraska, Morningside, Northwestern, Briar Cliff, and Dordt.  The Comets will also play some exhibition games this season against University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, and Bemidji State.

The Comets finished last season with a 17-12 record overall and 9-7 in conference play, bringing them to their sixth consecutive winning season.
